Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Holiday Lighting 4U LLC, doing business as Holiday Light Co ("Holiday Light Co," "we," "us" or "our"), collects, uses and shares information when you visit holidaylightco.com (the "Site"), contact us, or use our services.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you fill out a form, call, text or email us, we collect what you provide. This is usually your name, email address, phone number, city or address, company, and the details of your project.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our systems and Google Analytics collect technical information: your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, the pages you visit, how long you stay, and the site that sent you here.

Campaign details. When you arrive from an ad, or from a link with campaign tags, our server stores a first-party cookie named bn_attribution for 90 days. It holds the campaign tags, any ad click ID in the link and when you clicked, the page you landed on, and the site that sent you. If you send us a form, these details go with your request, so we know how you found us.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Answer your questions and prepare designs and quotes.
  • Schedule, provide and support our services.
  • Send you text messages you agreed to receive (see section 5).
  • Understand how people use the Site, and improve it.
  • Learn which campaigns bring us requests.
  • Protect the Site from spam and abuse, and meet our legal duties.

3. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a service from Google LLC, to count visits and understand how people use the Site. It uses cookies to record the pages you view, actions such as tapping our phone number, your device and browser, and your general location (city level). Google handles this data under its own terms and privacy policy.

You can stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits with Google's opt-out browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

If you opt out under section 4, Google Analytics still counts your visit, with its advertising features turned off.

The Site does not load advertising tags such as the Google Ads tag or the Meta Pixel.

4. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others. Some state laws treat certain sharing of data for advertising as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You can opt out of any such sale or sharing at any time.

To opt out, use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link at the bottom of every page (holidaylightco.com/do-not-sell-or-share). When you open that page, we store a cookie named bn_ad_optout on your browser for 400 days, renewed on each visit. While it is set, Google Analytics runs with its advertising features turned off (Google Consent Mode: ad storage, ad user data and ad personalization denied).

Your choice is kept on one browser. If you clear your cookies, or use another browser or device, open the link there too.

Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as the same opt-out, with the same effect.

5. Text Messaging (SMS)

Holiday Light Co sends text messages only to people who agree to receive them, using the optional checkbox on our contact forms.

If you agree, we may text you about appointment confirmations, project coordination and service updates. Message frequency varies (typically 1-4 per month).

Consent to receive text messages is optional. It is not required to submit a form or receive our services, and it is not a condition of purchase.

Mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We use your mobile number and your text consent only to send the messages you agreed to and to provide our services.

6. How We Share Information

We share personal information only with:

  • Companies that help us run the Site and our business, such as website hosting, database, email and customer-management providers. They may use it only to provide those services to us.
  • Google, for Google Analytics, as described in section 3.
  • Others when the law requires it, to protect our rights or anyone's safety, or as part of a merger or sale of our business.

7. Cookies

The Site uses these cookies: bn_attribution (section 1); bn_ad_optout, which remembers your opt-out (section 4); Google Analytics cookies (section 3); and bn_ldu, a session cookie set for visitors in California and used only by advertising tags, which this Site does not load.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, some parts of the Site may not work properly, and your opt-out choice will be lost.

8. How Long We Keep Information

We keep the information you send us for as long as we need it to answer you, provide our services, and meet our legal and accounting duties. The bn_attribution cookie lasts 90 days and the bn_ad_optout cookie 400 days. Google Analytics keeps its data for the period set in our Google Analytics account.

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. To make a request, contact us (section 13). We may need to confirm your identity first. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

10. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), to protect your information. No website or system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information you send us.

11. Children

The Site is not meant for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. If you keep using the Site after a change, the updated policy applies.
