You are welcome to make as many changes as you want until you sign the contract for your light design. However, after your approval, we strongly advise against changes since your order is already in production and getting ready to ship.

We recommend holiday lights to be removed after every season. First, we want to be environmentally friendly for the health of any living plants. As trees grow, they can become damaged as they expand beyond the installed lights. Secondly, expanding foliage can impair the lighting design, concealing the original look and “wow” factor. Feel free to talk to a member of our design team about any questions you may have. We do have options for year-round lighting that are more permanent.

Even though there are many options and kits available, most DIY lighting products are of inferior quality, and most likely will need to be replaced yearly. And the downside to solar-powered lighting, is that they aren’t very bright, so they are not ideal for illuminating the architectural details of your home, and of course are dependent on the sun. Yes! You can set your system on a timer that turns on and off whenever you prefer.

Our lights are tested to last more than 50,000 hours, similar to any other company out there. However, in full transparency, we will let you know that the weather will eventually change the color of the bulb and your system will need to be replaced over the course of time. Depending on location, most systems last up to 5 years or longer. RGB Rooflines are sometimes marketed as a “forever” system, and while theoretically that is true, the weather and harsh sun at some point will affect the system and it will need to be replaced.

RGB stands for Red, Green, Blue. It refers to a color model where colors are generated from combinations of these three primary colors. In the RGB color model, each color is represented by an intensity value ranging from 0 to 255 for each of the three colors (red, green, and blue). This allows for a wide range of colors to be displayed by mixing different intensities of these primary colors.

Inside each typical light there are diodes that can display different color options. The only color these diodes of red, green and blue cannot create is a pure warm white. Combined they can only make a "cooler" white. That is why true warm white is one of the proprietary colors in our own product line. It is one of the most popular and inviting colors for year-round rooflines.

We install the system indoors, typically in the garage or room where it is safe from the elements and can be plugged into an outlet. One controller system can power up to 300 feet of lighting, depending on the wiring. Additional low-voltage wires can be run from the system to the soffit in the roof as needed.

It’s not for everyone, but for those who want to have lighting all year long and create custom color combinations for gatherings and events, it’s a great option. It’s generally more affordable than landscape lighting and can be used throughout the year. The investment pays for itself over a few years.

We will screw the lighting to the soffit for the permanent install, but it will not cause any further damage. The holes are small and only created to hold the lights in place. They will not cause any water damage or future damage.
